We are proud of the Alberta 4-H Centre and thrilled to provide you with an opportunity to experience everything this exciting and unique place has to offer!

A day at the lake is said to restore the soul! Come to the Alberta 4-H Centre and swim, fish or just soak up the sun while enjoying the lake. Explore the outdoors and try out our fireside gazebo, and do not forget to visit our Amphitheater and our amazing forested area which is home to wildlife and rare vegetation. Go on a hiking adventure through our 7 km walking trailers and discover Alberta’s largest natural fern glade or walk along 65 million-year-old bedrock.

Lower Lodge

The Lower Lodge can accommodate up to 60 people depending on seating style. Its open space is perfect for yoga retreats, quilting, scrap-booking and/or Karate. The huge windows provide a bright and inviting space with a spectacular view of the lake.

Upper Lodge

The Upper Lodge seats up to 120 people. Its panoramic view of Battle Lake and cozy wood burning fireplace make it a favourite for both weddings and corporate events alike. Buffet style home cooked meal service is available.

Lakedell Room

The Lakedell Room offers board room style seating for 30 people. It has a small coffee station and a pull-down screen, making it a top choice for corporate events and training sessions

Board Room

The Board Room has seating for up to 20. It also has conference calling capabilities, a pull-down screen, a coffee bar, fridge and sink. This space lends itself to creativity with a stunning view of the lake and property from the upper floor.

Overnight Retreats

The Alberta 4-H Centre offers two types of affordable accommodation, providing groups with the flexibility of choosing either dorm-style rooms, camping or a combination of both

Dormitories:

17 room accommodations (98 people)
Single Bunk-bed style beds
Linen/towels/shampoo can be provided for an addition charge
7 washrooms, 4 with multiple showers

Camping:

10 graveled RV Sites (no-hook ups)
Community Fire Pit ( end your day by bonding with your group over campfire)
Multiple tent sites
2 teepees (sleeps up to 10 people per teepee)

Corporate Retreats

Whether you are looking for a serene location for your next corporate retreat, business meeting or the perfect setting for a team building weekend – the Alberta 4-H Centre has it all. Explore trust building team activities through our ropes course or challenge your team to acquire new skills such as archery, rocketry, and . Finish your corporate retreat or team building experience with a customized dinner prepared by our talented chefs.

Summer Camps

Are you ready for an adventure? Come and conquer your fears by maneuvering through our ropes course or learn a new skill like archery or rocketry. Head on down to the lake where you can enjoy the sun or explore canoes and other water games. We even have a giant slip n’ slide!

If you’re more into the nature side of things, well then take a walk through our 65 million-year-old bedrock and discover Alberta’s largest natural fern glade!

Enjoy a tasty home cooked meal prepared by our talented chefs and end your night by roasting marshmallows and singing songs by the campfire.

Bunk with your friends in our dorms, or experience what it is like to camp outside in the Centre’s teepees.

Meal times:

Meals are served buffet-style three times a day, with additional snack times. Our chefs create a variety of tasty but nutritious offerings. We accommodate guests with vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose free diets. Our meal times include exciting table dismissals, theme meals, and maybe a jello-eating contest.

Private Events

The Alberta 4-H Centre honours its origins and offers rustic venues and spacious meeting rooms that are flooded with natural light. Our hidden gem is perfect for most occasions: from intimate of gatherings to bigger corporate parties / retreats. You will find picturesque scenery, adventure, and much more.
